Anti-Glare (AG) Glass Overview

AG glass, also known as anti-glare glass, features a surface treated on one or both sides to form fine concave and convex particles. This achieves a multi-angle diffuse reflection effect, reducing the incident light reflection rate from 8% to below 2%, eliminating glare problems and improving visual comfort.

Main applications include vehicle displays, TV splicing walls, LCD displays, touch screens, industrial instruments, and picture frame displays.

Types of AG Processes

  • Spraying AG: Spraying a layer of optical astigmatism particles on the glass surface to achieve anti-reflection and anti-glare effects.
  • AG Coating: Utilizing atomization coating technology to cover the surface with materials that selectively combine, absorb, and deflect light.
  • Acid Etched AG: A chemical reaction process using a mixed acid (HF acid) that transforms the glass surface into a matte diffuse surface. This is the most common process in deep processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the primary benefit of Anti-Glare (AG) glass? AG glass reduces light reflection from 8% to below 2%, eliminating glare and significantly improving visual comfort for screen users.
2. How does tempered glass improve safety? When tempered glass breaks, it shatters into small, blunt fragments rather than sharp shards, making it harmless to the human body.
3. What glass raw materials are available? We utilize high-quality brands including Gorilla Glass, AGC, Dragontail, and Panda Glass depending on specific requirements.
4. Can the glass be customized for specific shapes and sizes? Yes, we support square, round, and irregular graphics. Dimensions and thickness are customized according to customer drawings.
5. What surface treatments can be applied? We offer AG (Anti-Glare), AR (Anti-Reflective), and AF (Anti-Fingerprint) coatings to enhance glass functionality.
6. What is the typical lead time for samples? The approximate sample production time is 10 days, allowing for custom design and precision processing.
