Product Description

Laminated glass consists of a tough protective interlayer made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) bonded between two panes of glass under heat and pressure. Once sealed together, the glass "sandwich" behaves as a single unit and looks like normal glass. Annealed, heat strengthened or tempered glass can be used to produce laminated glass.

Safety Features: Laminated glass may crack upon impact, but the glass fragments are held by the protective interlayer rather than falling free and potentially causing injury.

Laminated glass furnishes solutions to many architectural design problems and offers increased protection from the effects of disasters such as hurricane, earthquake and hail storm etc.

Common Thickness Combinations:
• 6.38mm (1/4") = 3mm glass + 0.38mm PVB + 3mm glass
• 6.76mm (1/4") = 3mm glass + 0.76mm PVB + 3mm glass
• 7.52mm (1/4") = 3mm glass + 1.52mm PVB + 3mm glass

Multi-purpose Laminated Glass: This is a composite functional product made by laminating PET, PC board, paper, silk, cloth, wire mesh and other materials using EN or EVA film between multiple glass sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the primary benefit of using laminated glass?
The primary benefit is safety. When broken, the PVB interlayer holds the glass fragments together, preventing sharp pieces from falling and causing injury.
Can laminated glass be used for security purposes?
Yes, it is often used as bullet-resistant and anti-burglar glass because the multiple layers and tough interlayer make it extremely difficult to penetrate.
What colors are available for the PVB interlayer?
We offer a wide range of colors including clear, milky white, bronze, dark blue, ford blue, dark green, french green, dark grey, euro gray, red, black, and yellow.
Is the glass suitable for extreme weather conditions?
Absolutely. Laminated glass offers increased protection against disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and hail storms.
What international standards does your glass comply with?
Our products conform to major standards including CCC (China), AS/NZS2208 (Australia/New Zealand), EN12150-1 (Europe), and ASTM C1048 (USA).
What are the typical applications for this glass?
